Program Onboarding
Welcome to the Carikerja Launchpad! This is a unique, community-driven, and facilitated learning experience designed to help junior engineers transition into high-performing, self-employed consultants, freelancers, or service business founders.
💡 About Our Program
Section titled “💡 About Our Program”The Carikerja Launchpad is a peer-to-peer facilitated learning journey. It is an intensive program where you’ll learn how to bypass traditional employment, market your skills, find clients, and generate revenue on your own.
- Mentorship: You will learn alongside other builders, reviewing each other’s code, discussing pricing designs, and practicing client pitches. You will be facilitated by our experienced team members.
- Time Commitment: This is a dedicated learning program. We expect our participants to commit at least 3 months with at least 20 hours per week of active contribution, learning, and client outreach.
- The Unbankruptable Focus: We want to make engineers “unbankruptable.” You will learn to use AI as a force multiplier to design systems, write code, and also build a personal brand, scope value-based contracts, and pitch to clients.
💼 Launchpad Key Modules
Section titled “💼 Launchpad Key Modules”We focus on building key freelance and service business capabilities:
- Personal Branding: Building an engineering portfolio, establishing a strong LinkedIn presence, and writing case studies.
- Client Acquisition: Cold outreach, professional networking, and closing service deals.
- Service Delivery: Scoping project requirements, pricing strategies (value-based vs. hourly), and managing client expectations.
- Trial Run: The ultimate graduation challenge where you secure your first freelance client.
🏃♂️ The First Step: Social Coding & Scoping
Section titled “🏃♂️ The First Step: Social Coding & Scoping”To join the cohort and gain access to projects, you must complete the 10-Step Onboarding Challenge.
This challenge serves as a showcase of your capabilities and git etiquette. It acts as our practical screening process:
- GitHub Setup: Register and get active in our repositories.
- Coding Agents Setup: Learn to set up coding agents like Antigravity IDE and configure them securely.
- Sandbox Application: Build and debug a client scoping calculator and lead manager in our Client & Scope Manager sandbox.
- Wiki PR: Submit your profile page to our Launchers Directory.
