Step 4: LinkedIn Profile Optimization

Prospective clients will research you online. Your LinkedIn profile is your primary business storefront. In this step, you optimize your page to appeal directly to business owners, not corporate HR recruiters.

  • Rewrite your LinkedIn Headline using a client-facing format.
  • Update your LinkedIn About summary to showcase your service offering and niche.
  • Prepare your profile links to present yourself professionally.

Recruiters look for titles like “Computer Science Student” or “Junior Developer”. Business clients look for problem-solvers. Rebrand your headline:

  • Avoid: “Aspiring Software Engineer at X University” or “React Developer looking for roles”
  • Use: “AI & Web Developer | I help [Niche] automate [Pain Point] using custom software solutions” or “Freelance Developer | Building high-conversion landing pages for [Niche]”

Your summary should read like a sales landing page, explaining:

  1. The Client’s Problem: E.g., “Running a local business is hectic, and manual booking leads to missed appointments…”
  2. Your Solution: E.g., “I build fast, automated booking platforms that handle scheduling and payment entries 24/7…”
  3. Your Tech Stack & AI workflow: E.g., “Using modern stacks (React, Vite, Node) combined with advanced AI assistance, I deploy fully functional solutions in weeks instead of months.”
  4. Call to Action: E.g., “Need to automate your booking flows? Message me here or book a free 10-minute scoping call.”

Once your LinkedIn profile is updated, grab your custom profile URL (e.g., linkedin.com/in/username). You will add this link to your launcher directory card.
